Nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission.
-Eleanor Roosevelt
-

I received this as part of a humorous email from a very good friend of mine and thought I would pass it along both for the humor and the truth of it.
When you make the choice to live only for your Abba Daddy's approval and when you seek only to see things His way; then you no longer need the "approval" of others! Instead you are able to walk through life truly enjoying every moment. Will there be things and areas that Your Abba Daddy "shows" you need improvement? Absolutely! But He always comes as the perfect, loving Father that He is and tenderly guides or redirects us as needed.

Have a WONDERFUL Day!

Welcome Amanda!

"The 5-year-old daughter of Grammy-winning Christian music star Steven Curtis Chapman was struck and killed Wednesday..."

Please join our family in praying for the Chapman family, especially the son at this time... your sister Maria Loves you even more, she took your heart with her to Heaven, they both are in good Hands. May our Abba Daddy's Peace that passes all understanding be with the Chapmans at this time and always.

You can meet Maria and express your condolences at In Memory of Maria

A Secret Of Life

Posted by Neugier

One evening a young but wise mother told her son about a battle that goes on inside people. She said, "My son, the battle is between 2 wolves....

One is Evil. It is hate, prejudice, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, selfishness and ego.

"The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The son thought about it for a minute and then asked his mother, "Which wolf wins?"

His mom simply replied, "The one you feed."

Carrots In the News!

"May 15th at 2pm, you simply must go to your local friendly grocery store and panic buy carrots. Why?" Well, if you visit Haley, you will understand...:D

AFTER you purchase your carrots - WHAT TO DO WITH THEM?
HMM... I KNOW! LET'S MAKE CRACKERS!!!!!!!!!

Recipe:
1 c. carrot pulp
2tbs. flaxseed (semi ground)
sea salt (generous)
seasonings of choice

Fold the pulp in wax
paper then roll to
form cracker shape.

Place in dehydrator
for about 5 hrs.
A cookie sheet and low
set oven work as well.
Not sure of the timing though.

Seasonings: Experiment!
The ones I like the most are
Cajun, Organic No-Salt Seasoning,
Taco Seasoning and Soy Sauce
in the place of sea salt

Congratulations Angela!

Reflections on Parenthood.

Relatives are people you are "related to" genealogically.
Family go beyond that. Family are people you are connected to spiritually- these connections have nothing to do with genes- they are people who choose on a spiritual level, to be family... People who choose to travel your journey with you just because you are you and you are Loved. Likewise Parents are neither biological nor non biological -they also are people of spiritual choice.

Parents are people who choose to care for Abba Daddy's littlest children - almost older siblings if you will - they don't profess to have all the answers, neither do they attempt to conform your life to their image - for any reason! Rather, they choose to love you unconditionally as they are loved by their Abba Daddy, they share every part of their journey with you so that yours has the opportunity to be even better than theirs, and they constantly turn to Abba Daddy, seeking His direction and in effect saying "Okay Daddy, what did You say I should do in this situation?" Parents do not claim to be perfect for indeed they are not. And so you will often find them sitting at Your Abba Daddy's feet seeking His direction and reveling in His love. To me, "Parents" is the term for the two oldest siblings to whom the most responsibility has been given, at least temporarily. When Parents and Children choose to sit together and fellowship with their Abba Daddy THEN and only then will you see a living picture of things the way our Abby Daddy meant for them to be!

On this Mother's Day Weekend, also close to Father's Day Weekend, I wish to honor all of those who make the choice to be Biblical Parents.
I thank the two people who chose to give me life and I honor those Parents who have chosen to join me and mentor me on my journey for as long as it is our Abba Daddy's will. I have been immensely blessed and will forever be grateful to them for the Godly love and wisdom they have chosen to give so freely.
I thank my husband for following our Abba Daddy’s leading and inviting me to join him in being Biblical parents to our children. I am honored and blessed beyond my wildest imaginings.

To Ashley and Austin, our two oldest children – thank you for choosing to give me the opportunity to be your Parent. From you, I have learned so much. With both of you, I experienced the explosion of a million stars the first time you chose to wrap your arms around me and say, “I love you Mum”. I listened to your prayers night after night asking our Abba Daddy for a sibling and when we found out that our third and then fourth miracles were on their way I experienced yet another dimension of our Abba Daddy’s love for us as my heart expanded even more with that deep warmth. Choosing to be a Biblical Wife and Parent have given me a deeper revelation of who our Abba Daddy really is, how He functions and how He loves us. I have a new understanding of being protected, of giving and receiving unconditional love, of heaven’s equivalent on earth- a safe place to live and grow in.

So my children, as you walk the journey of life realize that it is neither the act of conception nor the birth of a human being that makes you a Parent. But rather the daily choice to raise and love those placed in your life according to your Abba Daddy’s leading. Love as He loves, sit always at His feet, follow only His direction for your life and you will experience life the way He intended for all His children.

Little Einstein Today!

Friday, 2 May 2008
Posted by Neugier

Today was a Brand New Little Einstein episode! It had to do with bringing snacks to baby animals in Africa and Big Jet trying stealing them before they were able to eat them. Two of the African animals were the Giraffe and the Elephant-which we added to our collection today!

Did You Know:

Giraffes are the world's tallest mammals, thanks to their towering legs and long necks. A giraffe's legs alone are taller than many humans—about 6 feet (1.8 meters). These long legs allow giraffes to run as fast as 35 miles (56 kilometers) an hour over short distances and cruise comfortably at 10 miles (16 kilometers) an hour over longer distances. Giraffes have beautiful spotted coats. While no two individuals have exactly the same pattern, giraffes from the same area appear similar.

African elephants are the largest land animals on Earth. An elephant's trunk is actually a long nose used for smelling, breathing, trumpeting, drinking, and also for grabbing things—especially a potential meal. The trunk alone contains about 100,000 different muscles. Elephants eat roots, grasses, fruit, and bark, and they eat a lot of these things. An adult elephant can consume up to 300 pounds (136 kilograms) of food in a single day.

Little Einstein Update.

To start our "Little Einstein" week, Ashley drew Rocket and then she and I painted it!

On Monday, we helped a baby Chimp find his parents by listening to the sounds of the Ivory Coast’s Comoe National Park. And then we made our very own little monkey AND, we used scissors for the very first time!

On Tuesday, we helped Mr. Penguin get his ice cream truck over the Andes Mountains. And Ashley and Mamae made a very delicious and healthy Raw Foods ice cream Sunday!

On Wednesday,we helped a baby kangaroo get to their talent show in Australia, and we met other animals native to Australia such as koalas. Then we made our own version of
a dot painting like those done by Australia’s Aboriginal people. This art form, which has its roots in the ancient "Dream Time" journeys, is still used today. Most dot paintings contain patterns of natural forms such as animals. For ours, we used pasta which we dye back at Easter time with the left over Easter Egg dye water.:D

Today, we helped a mouse make a special delivery to the moon. We made our very own mouse costume!
