Hmm...Big Sister was wearing them and so she wanted some as well! We let her wear them around her neck for a few hours the night we got them. As for putting them on. She holds them on her eyes and we bring them up and over her head from the front. I put a holder in her hair and put the strap over it on both sides. (I hope this helps) I think the first night of dancing and playing with them helped.
