Aloha Friday!

Friday, 29 August 2008

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought on Fridays I would take it easy on posting too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you would like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave the link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participates! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

This weeks question:

  • If you could have a luncheon with any three people (real of fictitious/ from any time period, dead or alive) , which three people would you choose and why?

I am looking forward to reading your answers and meeting you!

Have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!

My answer:

1. Biblical times:
Paul (Acts 9:1-19) - This is a man who persecuted and killed people and then made a 360 and would do anything for the call of the Holy Spirit and follow him to “the ends of the earth”. I would also like to ask him more about his “thorn in the flesh”.

2. Historical Times: Pocahontas.
I wonder what her life was really like. From the care free, barefoot days to a London celebrity who had to change her name what would she have to share with us today.

3. Present Day: Lance Armstrong.
His accomplishments together with multiple bouts of cancer and his positive take on life are refreshing and inspirational.

I will be sentimental - I would love to see my grandparents that are no longer living again. It would be so nice for my kids and husband to see them.

Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein. It would be a fascinating meeting of the minds. I have to confess, though, that I would feel incredibly stupid if I was the only "normal" person in the room with those three geniuses!

1. Myself as a girl
2. Myself at 40
3. Myself in 50 years

Oh the conversations we could have, the advice that could be dispensed, the insight I might receive.

Great question...hmmm...

Since I'm an Office fan and can't believe the things that take place on the show, I'd love to have lunch w/the characters Jim, Pam and Michael to see just how dysfunctional they are and to get more appreciation for my own employer.

Jada Pinkett Smith: she is one of my favorite celebrities. I think she is so smart and would love to pick her brain.

My grandfather: he died when I was sixteen. I think about him everyday. and I would love to tell him about my life now.

Ludacris: Well he is just super sexy so why not?

Bono - at any time. :) - I would love to visit him in his home town. I've grown up with the band and it's been a great ride.
John Mayer - 15 years ago - He seems like an old soul to me. I just think he would be fun to get to know.
My grandfather - present: I need him to see that everything turned out ok.
